• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I enjoy riding with a passion as most here do and reading the thread 'what kind of riding you do' peaked my interest
I lived in a beautiful out of the way area with amazing riding, long fire roads and a ton of single track but only the locals knew where it was
so my thoughts
if you come to my area with and let me be clear a good running in good repair bike with decent riding skills I would love to show you some amazing riding and wonder if others feel the same way
to be clear of my good running in good repair, it should be ready to ride, add fuel lube the chain and go, if you have a flat out of the truck buy me a cool one at the end of the day and I will help you fix it
if you need to fix a major part you were not ready
on those terms I think it would be a gas
I am off to Arizona after Christmas to ride north of Phoenix and would love to see some cool single track, a friend is coming with a new Berg 350 and a good friend (local) is riding my spare 360
does anyone have any thoughts how we could make a true thread about how to get hooked up on a regular basis
there are many beautiful areas with 'secret local' trails

On your way to Phoenix if you take Int 10 thru Indio as you go up the hill from Indio toward Desert Center If you see any thing on your right or left of the freeway that you might want to ride let me know as I have ridden all of that area for 40 years. Also the trail right along the freeway from Indio up to the rest stop at the top of the hill 17 miles up then under the freeway and 17 miles back down is my test track. It is alot of 1 gear tight fun stuff

we will be coming from Reno NV this trip
but I plan to be in SoCal in the near future
will look you up
