• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I had just given him a little more throttle... I have a piece of fuel line over the throttle cable inside the carb/slide ...acts as a throttle limiter ... went from having half throttle to 3/4 throttle... his timing on the double was way off and the third double kicked him up and he grabbed way to much throttle going into the third part of the double double..... surprised himself .... ffffffd up altogether and launched over...these little 65's hit hard when they are up in the powerband....

I had no idea my daughter captured the pic until a week later when she downloaded the camera!!!.... this crash shut down the track for about five minutes as the bike somersaulted and landed on top of him and pinned him down with the hot pipe on his leg.... ....altogether his best crash to date and quite unsettling...!

Good lesson though... made him get back on and ride more laps to A) get rid of the heebs...B) learn better throttle control...c) work on timing the double... this pit bike track is challenging... kind of like a scaled down SX track for 50's and 65's!!!

i bet the bike landing on him def freaked him out, i know i dont care for that much myself. best thing about being his age is he might be sore for a day or so and probably not even phase him, i do something like that and im feeling it a minimum of a week hahaha way to get back up on that horse!!

Well, now that Logan got that out of the way... Time to ride****************************************

Glad he's made it through safely....

Go Logan GO

Heading to check out for the first time since it opened the "All Brand New" Lake Elsinore MX track.... entirely new PeeWee/65 Track.... all new enhanced Vet track and a new amazing Main Outdoor MX... have exactly two hours to ride before Corona Pony Little league practice.... the little man is going to sleep well tomorrow night!

What the heck... I should just leave him in his moto gear instead of having him put on all that Catchers gear.....

moto gear much safer**************************************** Catching can be dangerous. You will have to take the boots off when he is batting though because he may get thrown out at 1st.:)

He normally gets thrown out at third because he is 7 and spends to much time screwing off and gloating about the double he just hit and doesn't get a proper lead off at Second.... ( no base coach at second to kick him in the ass.... )

I have a grandson just like that! He runs the bases until someone throws him out or he gets to home. Getting better now but 2 years ago he was hopeless. LOL
