• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Long term TE250 test, 2010.

Well done as usual. I am sure we will all be eagerly awaiting all your updates. By the way if you are making culinary sudgestions to she who must be obeyed, usually you are extracting utensils from strange places.

Thanks for all the effort,
Walt

It is truly awesome to be able to watch that in 1080. Keep up the good work. It sounds like you are running it without the baffle and the bike needs to be richened up on the FI to around 110-115 range. I am sure Husky Au will take care of you though. There is a post somewhere on here on things we have noticed with the bikes. I can only think of the lost rear fender bolt at the moment, the one that goes into the air box by the battery. It will be very cool to see how it does in the 4 day, that will be a good test for it.

I forgot if i posted this,,,the motology avatar is from the ADB article Husky test with PFG folks, they put the bike on a ski boat and brought it out to a center city island (at low tide?) and railed in the sand and water for the photo session. You Oz guys test with a great flair!!! Great stuff, thanks for posting, R

Awesome video as usual...love seeing the potential that a 2010 TE 250 has and who doesn't love a woman that can put the smack-down on the boys! Looking forward to the next one.

ADB is one of the most entertaining and best dirt moto mags in the world!!! Dirt bike girls ,,,,shoot bring em on!!! good stuff!

nice. Got about 900 miles on my 2010 TXC250 now, loosening up nice. Keep an eye on the front motor mount bolts. Strap the battery down.

The Baffle is still inserted actually, raisrX251. Though I did increase a some airflow by removing the washer on the inside of the baffle, which was something Hollis suggested to me after trialling some mods on his practice TE250. As for the idle bit, GK has sent me some EFI values the he and Ben have sorted on his TXC, which may work fine for me Down Under.
Anyhow, I'll incorporate all the progress in the next installment.

Yep, I hear you on the front engine mounts. I thought the crank was trying to shake itself out of the casing on deceleration. Then I checked the two engine bolts and found I could spin them with my fingers. All good now.

Nice video thank you for putting it together. Now looking forward to the next installment.

Let us know how it goes with that quirky spot off idle, as I've beet strugling with it for a while. Got the bike working strong, but this quirkiness/bog is there. With the SA in, it's less noticable, but its there.

Part 2 is coming soon, may have it done over the weekend. In fact, I just put an S-bend in my wrist while filming some on board camera stuff (bout 3-hours ago). Went high in a rut and lost the front through a 3rd-gear turn, crashed hard and thought my wrist broke because it wasn't straight!
I stuck my fingers under my boot and managed to pull it straight before the pain set in (all on film) and save myself a trip to the hospital. I managed to do a similar thing when I dislocated my shoulder about a year ago, so it was almost an instinctive reaction. Really disappointing but I was even luckier not to smash the camera. In a lot of pain now and my wrist is in a freezer-pack sandwich.
TE250 didn't get out of it unscathed either, but I'll report on all that in the flick. Shit I'm spewin, got it riding really well with some set-up adjustments too ...

I'll post itfor you guys when it's ready.

Over n out.

Adam.

Yoww-Ouch.. You are one tough dude.. I allergic to pain.. Explains why you're a racer.. And I not.. Because of your pain I have to take some Tylenol now.. ;)

Wow great video thanks for sharing! It's hard to believe that bike can be ridden on the street. You truely make it look like it's race ready. Adam good luck with the wrist, ouch.

Hey Adam thanks for the first video.

I bought mine second hand last year. I tried to find the part 2 video the other day but the motology website says it no longer exists.

Just wondering what you found with the bike in the long run and what tweaks you made.

Thanks again,
Patrick
