• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Looking for TE300 clutch cover similar to KTM 350

I have a 2016 TE300 and have been looking around for a clutch cover similar to the one for KTM 350 XCF. I love my Husky but I see many more accessories for them than Husqvarna. And that's a a bit frustrating for guys like me who like the add-ons.

Is there anyone out there manufacturing anything even close to this type of cover? Are you guys running anything for crank case protection other than a skid?

Thanks!

Gary

a few of my crew run those orange KTM powerpart clutch guards, they seem very effective and the fit looks good.....OK what about the 2016 Husly Power catalog? As for me I use the TM design works full coverage HD plastic skid plate it has a lot of wrap around to keep your engine safe. (we thrash these things). Plus I added the Obie link guard to the rear so there is a solid skid all the way back past the linkage knuckle

no real clutch cover direct protection, (on my old KTM 250 I had a CF over cover from E-Line) but 2 years of lots of ugly stuff with no issues with this setup for your consideration. TM Design works skid plate with Obie linkage guard

How about this?

Hey Rob, any negatives to running the pipe guard?? I always wondered if not allowing the pipe to absorb an impact and dent was worth the risk of the whole pipe bending(moving) and squashing the radiator? Mines done both so a new FMF is on the way and am considering a pipe guard-

thread hijack, I get it. at the moment I don't have a pipe guard on. just a fmf gnarley no cover. I am being a more kinder gentler rider in regards to my pipe--this is a test. for me the beauty of the pipe guard (CF in particular) is that it can slide/glide across things. those cover/guards have never eliminated dents and deformities. I have 3 pipes on the shelf that all need pacific crest pipe repair that all were wearing CF pipe guards. also the CF looks trick.........

CF pipe guard over FMF Fatty. So far it does minimize the impact on the pipe underneath so dents are easier to remove IMO. I use 50 psi air pressure with map gas torch to get out dents on my pipes.

I have a new a P3 guard sitting on the bench. I plan to install it tomorrow along with a TrailTech flange guard while I'm in there. P3 just came out with a wider variety of guards to fit pipes better, says them. I'll be the judge of that though. I bought the one for the FMF Gnarly but it is supposed to fit the OEM pipe too. I currently have the OEM pipe mounted but will most likely go to a Gnarly.
