  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

marzocchi shiver usd48 outer tubes on strock te449 KYB's? hmmm

jordon labbe

Husqvarna
B Class
so long story short i made a little collision with a yellow logging road gate on my 2011 TE449.:excuseme:
a small minor boo boo on the outer fork tubes i thought. but when it took me and my mechanic a torch to heat the bushing and seal as well as a hammer and and some elbow grease to get the stanchion out from the upper tube..i cried on the inside a little:cry: .....we knew it was bad news.

so. what do i need?
replace my outer tubes (and now bushings)

so since just because it would look super awesome and also that i evidently need two new outer tubes.. and anodized stuff is cool  ... my thoughts are to replace the both my outer tubes with marzocchi shiver USD euro 48mm outer tubes. i read in a forum on here that it can be done.

so my real question is what all do i need? different bushings? a time flux capacitor?
i can't seem to find much info on these forks besides that ZIPTY sells them. iv'e tried to call them numerous (at least 5) and i could not get a clear answer. :banghead: I'm told someone is looking into it.:notworthy:

any help would be much appreciated cheers:cheers:

I'm not sure that you can get just the zokes outer tubes. Might be better off getting a set of KYB and have them anodized
