    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Motocross World Championship final GP in Fermo Italy

For the final Grand Prix of the World Motocross Championship the event stopped in Fermo in Italy. The hot weather turned the races into an endurance test for riders and their bikes. With his second Top-ten finish in two weeks Alessandro Lupino showed at his home Grand Prix with his ninth place finish once again his skills and underlined the increasing competitiveness of his Husqvarna TC250. Also the second factory rider Michael Leib left the competitors with his serial production Husqvarna behind and was able to gain a 14th and 13th finish. All in all a sometimes very unlucky season ended for the Husqvarna Ricci Racing team with a 15th place for Lupino in the rider's championship.
 
Michael's Dad here. The last few races with Husky have been interesting. Reading these press releases like the one above is.... well.......... Michael is off the team next year, that we all know. At Fermo Michael was 12th overall on a 100% stock 37 hp 2012 production motor. Lupino had the factory engine with 3 more hp, still way off the the other factory engines. Lupino was 14th overall. Michael broke his clutch finger on the 3rd lap of moto 1 and toughed it out all day. In addition Michael had the single best moto finish of the year for Husky last week in Gaildorf Germany where he finished 7th in moto 1. He DNF'd moto 2 on lap 1 due to an ongoing electrical problem.

I think your son has raced well with what he was given to race with and showed a lot of character by finishing his job in a high standard after knowing his ride was over ....
 
Ra Ray, no worries. I didn't mean that towards you! Sorry, just trying to set the record straight.
 
As a fan I will say that I am not happy with ultimate decision made by the MXGP Team.
But, Glad ML is back up to speed/health and gets headed into 2012 ready for action with whom ever is smart enough to get him on their team. Hope to see you guys (ML,DL and Rocket Exhaust) at the ride for the cause on oct1 at cahuilla.
