• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Het Fellas,

It's me again from Ireland. I bet you thought I left. No such luck. I want to thank all of you for the help with starting. You guy's are the best !

Another problem, not really a problem, more like a question. How far will these tanks take you before your out of fuel ? I'm making about 45 minutes when I know I should be close to home. I know this is sacrilege but can an aftermarket tank be fitted for longer outings and if so who makes them ?

Jim

If your interested in a Clark tank You are looking at one in the Picture of my bike. The polished sides are just Decals. To people who don't know these bikes they never know the diffrence, to people who do the Clark Gas Cap in the center is the biggest give away. The Tank in the picture is a 3.2 size, they make other sizes as well.

If you are burning excessive fuel most times needs new top end the bike should go at least 25 miles on full MX tank unless it's full throttle riding under load (muddy or hills).

so hows it running?
It's running great ! I ordered the Mikuni so it should be even better. I wish I found off-road years ago. This is serious fun. I think I bought the right bike. The way this thing is geared, it's seriously fast. Ever time I take it out my wife asks if she should call the ambulance now or wait until she sees the cloud of dust and fire. No sense of humour.

A lot of hills but no serious mud. The packed dirt roads out here go on forever so I'd like to spend more time on the bike.

That will more than do ! Does anybody on this side of the Atlantic sell them or do they have to be ordered from the States. I have to go back to the States for some medical stuff. Irish medicine is a bit above third world but not much. Do you think this would go as a carry on. A large empty metal container. It'd be worth it for the laugh ! That's a small photo but the decal looks great. I just want to ride the thing. Many Thanks !

OK, I'm not the sharpest tack in the box ! Do you have Clarks email or address ?
