I hadn't been on Cafe Husky for some time so I had not heard the news.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I hope the heck the same thing didn't just happen to Gas Gas...
Really. 50 bikes is a bit off.You just needed to scroll down a bit on the GG Forum, there's a thread. Enjoy that GG, sweet bikes. I hope the Spanish Economic Crisis doesn't make a casualty of GG. Lord knows Clay bringing 50 bikes a year into the US, isn't going to pay the bills at the Factory.......
I know. I read that and was wondering if Gas gas has just had the same thing happen to them!Clay just posted today that some private investors have finalized a deal with GasGas.
I wonder in Stefan Pierer or Bajaj are opening their wallets again???

I'll gladly be wrong, but I thought someone said that was the number of '12 bikes imported. It was definitely low though. I'm sure there will be more '13 bikes He took on Sherco, to make sure he had bikes to sell, if GG dropped the ball again.Really. 50 bikes is a bit off.
Funny. In a pissed off moment I made a typo. Laughing at myself................I will ride any Husky built up to 2103 but after done.
Looks like you'll be on Huskys for a long time yet!!!![]()

They (AG) will ether provide us with cool bikes that are still huskys, or red KTMs and then we can all decide what we want to buy. Thats the brilliance of capitalism and choices. If they are red KTM's, which I am sure will be fine bikes I'll buy a Beta next. Not wide over the styling but bet the new Beta 250 2T is fantastic in the woods. Also with my CR165, TE511, TR650 i am pretty much set and could just ride those till i die![]()
Yes I was at a dealer today well goofing off. And I did not look at the KTM's but did check out a Husaberg, and well hey I thought it was better then a KTM and not orange and did not say, well KTM. We will see where all this goes as from what I can tell NO one really knows what is going on with this, what I call takeover.................................After 25 plus years of being a KTM hater.... I'm over it! I don't have the energy to put into it anymore. That said... I can't quite bring myself to ride Orange, but my Husaberg blue clone isn't a bad bike, it's pretty good and it's WP cc forks with Huasberg's own valving, are the best stock forks I've ever ridden. Best bike ever, is still reserved for my '09 WR165.
