  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

MY12 TC449 air box cover for a 2011 SMR511

I'm getting Huskysport to fit me a Akrapovic slip on and Ibeat the EFI.
Will this airbox cover fit my SMR and if so is it worth it as I ride all weathers and seasons in the UK??

As long as you don't submerge it, it will take normal spray. Why are you fitting an Ibeat on a 2011? You should either flash to map 3 or add a pcv.

Just take your stock ecu and plug it into the Husqvarna HST programming module. Choose Full Titanium Akropovic map. :D
If you wish more power than that, add a powercommander 5.

Just been to Huskysport and had the titanium slip on fitted with map 2 and the lamda blocked off.
Also put in an iridium plug but the airbox cover is on back order with the factory so gods knows when it will arrive.
After 4500 miles the valves still don't need adjusting.

Riding it I must admit to being a bit disappointed.
Bottom end and mid range are improved but if I give it full throttle it seems to bog down for a second before accelerating. In fact it revved quicker at the top end on the standard exhaust with race map 2.
Has anyone else experienced this problem after fitting a slip on ?
Will race map 3 cure this or do I have a bigger problem???

Cheers Tinken, That's a relief I thought it had blown a gasket or the plug was dodgy! Apologies for not pushing for map 3 as per your original recommendation

I can confirm that Map 3 is a great improvement. Wish I had done it a long time ago the bike even starts first press of the button. With the Akra slip on I feels like new bike. Happy with it now not going to bother with a jd or pcv.

I'm not sure about fitting the airbox lower now as the ride home was very wet and I drained a lot of water out with the standard cover.

Hi dj
I am in Dorset uk,about an hours drive from Huskysport.
May I ask how much they charged you for a map3 upgrade.
I have no problem sending it to zip ty,Tinken, but naturally if it can be done locally all the better.
