Hi everyone,
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Yeah my dealer has sold over half of his first shipment too! Seems there is some pent up demand for these white knights.
My only observation so far is that the seat material is rather funky. It's very grippy for sure but it looks to me like it'll be prone to ripping rather easily but time will tell. Oh and I noticed my front brake cable is rather prone to getting hung on the head light. Going to have to play around with that. Looks like a second guide toward the top of head light will be in order.
Just puttering around I can say that the engine feels like a real winner!

Do you know if they make a kick-starter retro kit for the FE350S? Or do you just buy the parts separately? Could add up to some coin at KTM prices...eh?
I notice the KTM 350excf has the kickstarter this year but the FE350S advertises the kicker can be installed, so I assume they're just sticking a plug in the case on the FE.

Well got my first ride in yesterday with the '15 TE125. It was a mix of a big sand pit with deep sand gnarly deep whoops and bumps and up and down hills and also some trails which were sand but not of the loose variety.
In the pit it's hard to judge anything suspension wise as it's just a real work out with all the loose deep sand and huge hits etc but I sure did enjoy the light weight of the TE125 and the motor is the tits! Dare I say for a 125 it actually lugs and has some low end torque which I'm sure is due to flywheel affect and of course when you get into the meat of the powerband it rips and revs like you'd expect a good 125 motor too! Overall my initial impression of the engine is I couldn't be happier.
Suspension wise it was excellent in the open stretches of big whoops as the harder you went the better it worked. In the trails it tracked nice and was really good in the turns as you could point it anywhere and make an easy transition as this thing is so light and flickable. Jumps were also a blast as again the light weight makes you feel like you can correct or get out of anything. Wasn't much in the way of true trail junk so I'll have to reserve judgement on how it handles roots etc. I will say this though in a couple of technical spots the way the engine will run a gear high and lug is a very big plus! My gut feeling is it'd be a great engine in hilly terrain with trail junk such as rocks for those whose terrain includes that sort of stuff. Out here where I ride it's all sand and lots of it!
Overall it's ticked the boxes I hoped it would and just need to get it out for a track day and set the sag and play with the clickers.

I have had my 15' TE300 out a few times now. I finally got the jetting dialed in. This new bike sure likes a big main jet! Also the power difference compared to my 14' KTM is very noticeable. The top end of the RPM's pulls and pulls! The bottom and mid range are still super tractable just like my old WR300 and KTM 300. The suspension is really good right out of the box which is to be expected with the 4CS forks. It's been the best new bike I've owned yet! I took the bike apart to grease everything up like I always do but it really wasn't needed. Other than rerouting some wires and the cables, and adding the usual protection I didn't have to do anything to it!
Wow! I have questions! I suppose I need to start a TE125 thread. Do these things really weigh 20 lbs. less than a 300? I assume it lists for 8# less than a KTM 200 because of no electric start. Could you put a 200 crank/piston/cyl. on the 125 bottom end, or do you have to go with a complete engine to make it into a 200? That would be a decent upgrade from the ol' KDX

the TE125 I rode this last weekend felt SUPEr light as do all the new white huskys IMHO.

I liked the bike, felt crazy light. Was not wild over the on off motor and it seems to have less down low than an italian husky and more on top. Suspension was semi harsh for me as was. this was in a ride area that is not typical for me (faster high dez). Tim loves it and says it works great for him on the tighter woods trails here.

Does look nice. Stupid question does the 125 get its own lighter frame??? I'm sure the 150 kit gives right on. Rode a KTM 150 sx for a bit . Liked it but prefer the power of a 250 two stroke. If it has a lighter frame with a 200 engine would be a hoot!!! Does anyone know are the 4cs forks specd out the same as far as spring rate and valving? If so seems strange to me.....
