  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I would like to know where is the best place to buy a new injector for a 2008 TE 450. I dont mind if its another brand or so on just as long as iit keep on going
Cheers Kel

You definitely need an injector? I only ask as i haven't seen too many fail in comparison to things like fuel pumps and relays/wiring

I have put a new fuel pump and I think I have clean the injector. I rode it after I clean it yesterday took it for a spin and it was all good even at full noise, but today I rode it and when you ease on the throttle there's no back fire, but when you give the juice it starts to backfire or when you 120Ks it will do it as well. A new injector will be part of the elimination process
Cheers Kel

Put the kawa 12 hole injector in. Flows the same but better spray pattern. I put it in my '10 and didn't made a difference in the fueling but ran better. (checked on both autotune and dyno)
I can look up the part number if you want, must have it somewhere.
From memory was cheaper too.

Try running some injector cleaner through it-double or tripple the dosage it will not hurt.

If you could give a part number or a link that would be great

I got one and the part number was 49033-0011 for the 12 hole injector (Canada)

There was a reason I used the 0010 injector, I did some research then and I believe the result was the flow of the 0010 was more compatible or better than the 0011.
