  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello everyone, my name is Stefen, I'm 21 from Perth, Australia. I just recently (Saturday) purchased an 07 te450, took it out for the first ride yesterday and goes great, I have recently gotten back into riding, I used to ride a banshee and sold it back around 2010, feels good to get back into it! Definitely a lot different riding on 2 wheels than 4. Keeps you on your toes constantly!

The bike needs a few little things to get registered back on the road like indicators and chain guard (what bike can I use one off?) etc. But luckily I enjoy these things. It does however need a new decompression cable as starting is a major pain! Can anybody point me in the right direction in to where I can source one? I am also trying to source a wiring diagram?

All in all I am very happy with the bike, the power is very linear and theres plenty on tap when you need it!

Heres the bike!

nice bike mate ! i'm in QLD & just got a 2007 te450 too. loving it !! power from idle all the way to rev limiter !! whoooo ! would be some good riding around WA ?

Hahaha congrats mate! Yeah its definitely good to know theres plenty there, mine has recently been rebuilt so was told to run another 1-2 tanks through it so I have not had the chance to get her right up there but I am keen!

WA is fairly good, been riding mostly beach trails and tracks around the coast but in the South I have heard are some amazing places. Cant wait to go down there! How's the tracks in QLD? Could imagine you guys would have some really nice lush forest areas. WA is fairly arid so we don't get the lush flora like you guys!

Get on to R&D Husky, Stephan runs the business he can supply all the bits you need. either call on get onto their web site.
