• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Seat for the SM610

nsrrider

Husqvarna
AA Class
Thought I would post a pic of my new seat for the 610. I had it made by a local guy that has done several seats for me and has always has done a great job. The seat is done in carbon-look sides and suede material on top. He used memory foam for the seating area. He built the seat from pictures of other company's seats. Mark from Premier Auto Upholstery is an avid bike guy and is located in Portland, Oregon. He will reproduce this seat for $250 plus shipping. He is not a buddy, I'm just a satisfied customer. If you are interested you can contact Mark at 503 740 3865.

VERY good looking seat. If it feels as good as it looks you can ride a long time without a sore behind.

Looks good. I have the original and best  Anything else is like a Nike with the swoosh upside down.

- where do you ride? We might need to hook up for a SM rip sometime.

Yea I too am interested in how it feels
( :D a butt impression if you will….)

BTW shouldn’t this be in the 610 section instead of the four st. ?

Not necessarily, even the people with the smaller more competition oriented bikes might like to sit down for awhile every now and then.

I dunno. Seems like this thread would be of interest to anyone with a seat... and there is really nothing in the first post specific to a particular bike... and "Seats" are listed in the suggestions what to put in common topics, let's try over there...

4stroke -> Common Topics.

Finally got to get some seat time on the SM this last couple days.......needless to say, the seat is huge improvement over the stock 2 by 4. While it didn't transform the 610 into a Goldwing, it does allow you to ride the bike and not be preoccupied with how much your ass hurts. Still pretty firm, just not the killer the OEM seat was. For me, it makes it more likely I'll ride it more often.
