  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Stuff For My te-449 $$$

B Class
I finally got all my after market accesories at my house. Thank you ZIP Ty Racing! Your customer service is absolutely awesome.

It took me since last november to get the money to buy all this stuff.
Next weekend I am going to put all the stuff on my 2013 te 449.

I am just wondering about this: So I had the ecu race map 3 done to my ecu. I purchased pc5 with programming done my m @ zipty. Is the pc5 suppose to work with the race map 3 program.

I just wonder if the pc 5 would have been sufficient enough, or will it WORK better having the ecu race map 3 program installed as well? It's probably a stupid question.

The most important question I have is that right now I have the race map2 plug in it.

Do I need to take my race map 2 plug out before I install power command 5 with my newly programmed ecu? I am a little confused?

Thanks for you help!!

I was told race map II is necessary for PC V, so I would imagine race map III would work fine. I also ordered a PC V from zipty, but have yet to receive it (. The bike has been running so well since putting it into race map II, I'm almost tempted to cancel the PC V.

The PCV piggyback system uses its maps but still uses the base map loaded into the ECU as a starting point. Because Map 3 is a much better overall map to start, you will get the best performance. For guys like me with 11 449s with locked ECU we can't load Map3 and adding a piggyback fueler is our only option for proper tuning.

I've been fiddling with a JD for a while and it works ok, but with time and Tinken ribbing me some, it's time to face facts and just do it right.

Leave the jumper plug in, add the PCV, and twist carefully on that first ride.
