  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Holy crap that's an awesome price. Hurry up and pick it up before the seller changes his mind. lol

Ya you got a steal! On something like that which has had a lot of work done to it, it may already have things like the throttle stop removal done.. I would imagine its pretty noticeable if its still on there?

you make me want to cry. that is EXACTLY what i was looking for 6 months ago.
ended up getting the same bike but fully stock (powered up) with 100 miles for 5250.
i will definitely be pm'ing u about the sm conversion. im going to be doing the same to my te soon.
Amazing deal

there is a kickstand fix on there too! ohh and red radiator hoses... AND a billet oil cap. this guy dropped a few g's on this bike when he got it. thats like $10,000+ worth of stuff.. prob more with the wheels

thats good to know. i will post more pics when i pick it up. what does the throttle fix look like? and i heard something about the fuel pump in these need to be tweaked.

Listen, for this bike at that price the first thing I would check is;
1. is the bike stolen ?
2. has the engine blown ?

If those two comes clear then you have gotten yourself a very nice deal
And I’ll be dumbstruck if the previous owner did all of that to the bike and didn’t remove the throttle stop...
