• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well Done going for a TE449. A steal at the moment for such a top class bike. You will not regret it.
There is a ton of good info for the TE449 on this site with photos.

Great bike that is easily taken from kitten (stock) to beast (uncorked / fueled up) GREAT all around bike. you should love it. Not a ton needs done to it.

Yep. I agree.
Just spend some time setting up suspension to weight and skill level and it is basically good to go. You can take it further though if you want to and with a little money you can make a great bike an exceptional bike. In several ways the TE449 is actually better than the TE511.

Thanks Guys, i picked it up today ... unfortunately sydney weather is bad and i still havent taken it out !.. this weekend ill get it out cant wait !!

Great choice. I run the TC and it's a great machine. I have alot of hours on it, mostly mx track, and haven't had any hiccups with the motor. The only parts I changed where the ones that I busted or just plainly worn out like the tire, chain and sprocket. Good luck!

I am also a newbie to dirt biking, and I am having a great time on my 449, I was out with a friend today who is a excellent rider and instructor with a life time of experience, (lucky me get to learn lots), he adjusted my suspension for me and made the bike much easier to ride, so now I will be able to ride longer and have even more fun. I hope you have fun with yours.

The 449 is an awesome, do-it-all bike. You can't go wrong with a 449. Like Motosportz has mentioned, you will want to unclog the bike to take full advantage of the power. I'd also recommend the JD Tuner module which will make the bike everything you could ever dream about in an off-road (but street legal) motorcycle.
