  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi all,

I just purchased a lightly used 2013 TXC 310. I am anal about my bikes and I am not riding it until I go through it. I am Doing an oil change for the first time, and I have a very simple question....Where on the sight glass should the oil level be when its "full"? I googled, searched this forum, and cannot find an answer anywhere. Is it supposed to cover the whole thing, or just up to halfway? Thanks in advance for the help.

My bike shop leaves it at half way. When I do the change I fill it to almost the high line. I think the difference between the two is about 4 fl oz.

 I've been under filling by 3.6ml****************************************! I hope my motor doesn't blow****************************************

That's it!

You bought the bike and you're only question is how much oil:D

you gota have more questions then that. Like whats up with that allen to take off the front wheel or do I need to pull the battery to get the air filter out.. . or the best one whats up with that crazy oil line in the back of the drain plug.

.. thought the best one was why this mother fuc--- doesn't e-start !

And yes, cover to the top of the sight glass. 950 Ml with filter change, like it's been said.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just did my first ride on it today and I am very pleased. I have talked to a couple people who say these engines are noisy. I would agree. I have been riding an XR400 and jumping on this thing makes me think its about to come apart. Anyone have insight on that?
