  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hi i was having a bit of trouble with mt 449 running poor and i posted on the forum and i got lots of help thanks ,so striped the small tank out to check the pump filter it seemed fine so i put it all back together but now it wont start it tuns over but wont start i looked at the fuel pipe to injector i disconnected it and pushed the starter and fuel came out so i think the pump is ok, any ideas help thanks

Pull the plug and see if its wet or no. Also try tapping on the starting relays with a wrench. Sounds stupid but ive had recent problems with intermittent relays. Right side by the radiator and cyl, head.

ok thanks guys i will have a look at the plug and re check my tank job ive prob dun something wrong not the best with the spanner lol , thanks hope i can sort it out love the bike when its running

ok ive had a look at the spark plug and it sparks sometimes and sometimes it doesn't the 3 wires that go into the plug cap dont look very good i can see the copper wire on the black wire just were it goes into the connector followed the wires back but they seem to go into the main loom how do i replace the 3 wires and connector thanks:confused:

You may need to visit an auto elec & have them repair the plug pins for you.
Probably be the easiest solution & shouldn't be very dear.
The connectors used on the bike are common on Jap cars (Yazaki brand) so they should have pins....
