• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Oil drain plug size (610)

Muddy Waters

Husqvarna
AA Class
What is the size of the drain plug socket-female (the inny not the outy) on the 08 610?
3/8" has got wiggling room so is it a 11, 12mm?
I've spend the whole morning looking for those sizes, thinking I'm just gonna buy a 10, 11 and a 12mm and return the ones that don't fit but nobody roundhere has anything over 3/8 :banghead: so I'll probably need to order something
Thanks for the help

Is it a 10? I could swear I used a 12mm.

Then again I've been working on a lot of small engine projects lately so I could be thinking of something else.

There are of course two plugs. The left side has a 12mm head and the right side has the 10mm hex(aka Allen) head.

10 mm allen wrench or bit for this one

Regular old 12mm wrench or socket for the other one

Glad you're good, man. That pic was hard to take with a phone upside down and a trouble light in the other hand, trying to line up the holes on the bash plate, all while my liver was processing a few

I knew one of them was a 12

I didn't have a 10mm allen socket so I used a regular "L" shaped allen wrench and sliced a nice gouge in the side of my hand on my skidplate when the bolt let go. I went out the next day and bought a set of metric allen sockets.

I have a set of Craftsman T-handles as well from 2.5mm to 10mm. I get a lot more use out of them than I thought (I also have bicycles to wrench on).

Yeah, the T handle ones are nice too. I also ride the non motorized bikes, I've got a Trek 7700 for the street and an Ibex Ignition for off road and my Wife rides a Trek 7200.
