  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Old Rekluse on 2010 TE450?

Arctra

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi guys, I'm looking for advice from someone that is familiar with the differences between older model TE450 clutches (2004-2005) and the newer 2010 TE450 clutch.

I have a 2010 Husqvarna TE450 and have been offered a z-Start (RMS155 - so it's not the z-Start Pro, it's just the plain z-Start) by an acquaintance that has upgraded to the Core EXP. Looking on the Rekluse website (and doing some Googling) I cannot find much detail on the clutch as I believe it is discontinued. From what I can find the clutch will fit an Husky TE 450 2004-2005, but do not know if that has been updated at all since the product was discontinued.

I would like to know whether the RMS155 will fit my 2010 TE450. Is anyone able to advise me on whether it does?

Thank you very much for your time.

If the TE450 uses the same clutch as the TXC 450, then no it won't fit. (you can verify what clutch your bike has by looking up the part numbers by downloading the parts manuals on Halls site.)

As I understand it, the 450-510's started using the same clutch as the WR250/300 in about 07 or 08 or so. At least up til 06(and possibly 07), that Rekluse would have fit a TE450/510.
Rekluse has discontinued the RMS155/156 as of last year.
