• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ordering in US - help needed

I know its not a good spot to ask for help but I 'know' this place best around this forum...

I'm looking for help with placing an order with US company (Klim) and having trouble doing so. Help would involve making call(s) to the company, negotiating quote, making payment, accepting package - repacking and sending to Poland via PostOffice. I will refund all the costs incurred via PayPal - including order cost, postage, phone calls etc.

If anyone can help fellow rider - I would be grateful. thanx in advance.

If you were doing this in Canada I would help ya. Hopefully someone would send you a PM. and will help out.

Can offer to help Mario. Scott at Toytech in Grantville PA sells Klim gear, is a Husky dealer, always offers a discount and has a post office less then 1/2 from his place. He takes paypal, credit cards etc. Super nice guy to deal with. LEt me know what you need and I am sure I can get the ball rolling for you. Let me know what you need for help. Cheers, Dave

Trouble is I cant use any Klim dealer and have to deal with Klim directly... I need to do some alterations to their pants and that can be done only by Klim themselves... Yet they still have problems answering my emails. I would need someone that will talk to them over the phone.

Are you firm on Klim. Dubinky makes a great pant very similar and better in some ways to Klim. Ben will answer his phone and alter the pant however you want I am sure. He altered mine exactly how I asked. The business is new and the web site is ok.

If I can talk you into these, I will deal with Ben for you if you need. Dealing with Dubinky would be painless and simple.

Dubinky seems great pant for dry climate.

Although I would prefer Goretex 3-layer to keep me dry in any conditions. Still looking for someone to help with Klim.
