  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Our 2010 TC 250 reliability report (40+ Hrs.)

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Decided to disassemble and check the TC after about 50 hours of hard riding. 15+ hours of hard racing, 30 hours of hard practice, and about 5 hours of break-in riding (me putting around trails like a timid old fat guy).

I'm amazed. The valves haven't moved since new. The head internals look like they just left the factory. Clutch shows a wee bit of wear but nothing like I was expecting (Cody uses the clutch like a 2 stroke). Sprockets showing very slight wear. Oil still coming out golden at each change.

Aside from the damage inflicted by Cody (Tweaked subframe from wrecks, worn and scratched plastic, tweaked bars from wrecks, paint rubs on frame), slightly tweaked left radiator saved from total destruction by Motosportz Rad Guard (thanks Kelly )... This bike would look, and perform like new.

Amazing. :notworthy:

Good report Krieg i have 76.2 hrs on my meter wich was put on a week after i got the bike still no valve movment and no other problems great bike cant wait for the 2011.

Krieg glad to hear the TC is holding up well. It helps having a tech like you taking care of the bike. Guess you heard TNT has redone the outdoor track. I'm going down in the morning to check it out. Oh, ride the trails and check it out.

I heard about the new tracks. They also have been doing quite a bit of work on the trails. I may be able to get down there next weekend. Have fun Bob!
