• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Parts fiche find

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi there,

Just arrived in my mail is an old microfiche machine from ex Husky dealership with parts fiches from 1966 all the way through about 2001. I know most (probably all) of these are available online, thought it would look cool in corner of shed (sort of Husky dealership style) anyway.
Will post a pic of what's there when I get a chance. May be some info there that someone's looking for.

i have one of these as well..i do use it time to time.
mine go from early 70s up to early 90s, and include 80s cagiva stuff

You good do a good turn and fill in the gaps here in the tech ref sections. I thing some mid 80's parts are missing

im not sure how you would even transfer those to digital format? scan them, but they are pretty small!

Also have TE 410 1995- 2000
TE 510 1989- 1990
TE- TC 610 1991- 2000
TE 410- 610 E Dual purpose, SM 610 1999 - 2000 (2000 model under MV Augusta name)
TE 400, TE, TC 570, SM 570 R 2001

Most fiches have 2 copies (some of the Cagiva models have 3) so we could work something out if you want a copy Darren. I think you could pick up an old microfiche machine pretty cheap.

I'm fairly sure all of this info is already online eg. http://www.husqvarnaoutlet.com/parts_fiche, however I don't see the special reference charts, Husky products list, Supplements or Ohlins parts listed.

Not sure about how to get any of the info into digital form, maybe a business that specialises in that sort of thing?

a good print shop can do this fairly easily
take old slides and convert them to digital, have some of these
there are 3 major sites online now, but being proactive i copied them to my hard drive file in case they go away
