• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Picked up a new project

86 400 XC

Husqvarna
Pro Class
83 beast 250 WR i was told.

Came with a good 430 motor and pipe to fit the 83.

I might just fix this 1 up and let the wife ride it.

The 430 is going into another 83 roller frame from Huskydoggg.

That bike will have a silver frame with a silver tank, a Grossi clone bike to race and beat instead of the 82 500.

Well it is an XC lol how sweet
Fires up first kick, now that I kicked all the gas out of the pipe.

Well I might do a 86 front end with disc, have parts laying around to do it.
Ride the bike on the trails if the wife dont.

The race project

goes like this

So this frame is with shocks, swing arm, wheels, brakes and forks.
Frame is junk

This frame has no parts but need to cut the loop over the rear fender off

All the parts i got will end up looking kinda close to this bike but a 430

Steve,
Hah, LOL , i'm build a 84 430 (aircooled) , pulled a 82 or 83 motor out of Ice racer someone built on a 250XC frame. Dropped it in a 84 250XC frame, so i'll have a 430 Husky never built, but should have :D .

Husky John

Cool john :)

Bike cleaned up nice so far, easy fix on the front end.
Put good left overs forks, front wheel with disc brakes on from my 86.
I rode the bike, feels great with really nice power.
