• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pretty darn cool

I love my WR165 but have to say my Beta 300 racing is the best bike I have owned so far. Buddy that has a CR165 rode it last weekend and said it feels lighter than his Cr. The motor in this thing is magic.

Cool vid. He ought to get together with Graham Jarvis and do some sort of insane trials moto video.

I had the chance to check out one of those new beta 300 2t's this last weekend at a ride event. Very nice bike.

man i hate seeing this bike over and over again... :D ...soooo tempted to trade in both my Huskys for one

great vid!

Larry Roeseler is riding a nice new Beta 300 this summer. He says it's the perfect bike for my favorite high desert riding area.

Buy one! I have one problem with my Beta, the tank is too small. I don't what to stop riding and fill it up!

very tempting... but i have both Huskys set up perfectly, 165 2T for woods and 270 4T for track. i'd really like to go down to one larger 2-stroke but not sure if that's wise.

can the Beta moto at all? i'm just a C level MX'er but my WR sacks out bad on track but is purrrrrfect in the woods. my TC is kinda great everywhere!

oh, my. now you're giving me fits :D how does the 250 compare to the 300?? my local dealer has a 250 in stock.

this quote is hurting my brain

My 300 is 10lbs heavier than my wr165. I have rode them back to back on the same practice track I have and the 300 feels lighter. This 300 engine doesn't feel like the GasGas 300 or the KTM 300 it is much more 250 like. It doesn't have that arm stretching feeling that wears you down. I get less tired on this bike when I race than I do on my wr165. My Husky is super fun and I don't think I will sell it but if I could only have one my Beta 300 race would be staying.
