  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Congrats, I did about the same thing as you a couple of months ago when I couldn't resist the deal on a new 09 WR250. I saves a guy enough money to buy a few extras, and just in time for riding season.

Thanks!! Lovin it so far. other than the price i was figuring go for one of the last carbed versions, they have to be right.. right ??? lol ill give em a few years on the fuelies even though im sure that most are fine.

thanks! i dont have as much speariance riding as alot of yall so some changes might be down the road as i get more skilled. rite now the gearing seems to be alright for me and what ive done so far. im just happy to be on a 4stroke where the power is when and where you want it and not on or off like my 2stroke.

Congratulations on the new bike! Sweeeeeet!

Congrats! They are sweet bikes for sure I had the 09 510TXC and it was a beast. After a few more rides your bike will break in and feel smoother and more powerfull. Enjoy.

thanks john, i wish they had a 09 510 in stock but they were sold out of those. definately would have snagged that. but im happy with the 450 for sure, definately a fun machine.

Congrats, I sold my DRZ(K model) and picked up my "New/hold over" 09TXC a year ago, and have fallen for Redheads, took some getting use to but by mid season I had fallen for her hard. You will LOVE the bike.
