  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey guys thanks for your tips, answering my many questions, helping me with finding dealers, and giving me great rider feedback. My son and I just got in around 10:30 PM this evening and with us came the new 2010 TC250! I got it as a surprise gift for my son and I think he's in love. It was dark and raining when we got home but he started it (1st kick) and went riding in the yard making figure eights and circles in the dark. He then had me do the same. It started first kick for me also. In all at the house and dealership we've started it over thirty times now cold and hot and only once did it take two kicks. The dealer installed a larger pilot jet and adjusted the fuel screw before we got there and said they had started many times and other than the first start where it took three kicks it had always started on the first kick. The bike feels as light as Krieg said and I think my son is going to have a ball on this bike. Thanks again and as soon as the bike is ridden in the daylight I will post up his and my impression.

Thanks and thats what he was doing (happy clapping). I didn't even tell him where we were going I just asked him if he need to be home any time soon, he said "no" so off we went for our four hour drive. Once he knew where we were heading he thought I was looking at a bike for myself. Not unitl I handed him the plastic bag with the spare jets and said you may need these for your bike did he have a clue what was going on. I think he's still in shock.

Good times!

These are the things long memories are made of.

He may even tell his friends.

That's a priceless memory for your son.Good deal and have fun with the new TC250 as I'm thinking Dad may be throwing a leg over it a time or two as well.

Thanks guys and I've already thrown a leg over it. I think he will be pushing me today to finish up our work so he can make some laps in the mud LOL.

I am currently up for adoption ..........ANYONE? ..........ANYONE?..........Bueler?........Bueler?...........

Thats funny Joe! Well I think we can start getting some work done today he had to take it around our track this morning before we could leave for work. He said " this thing is the best bike I have ever ridden by far it's CRAZY how good this bike feels!" He went on and on and on and on but we have to leave and get some work done, later guys.

Thanks. Just a short ride report as we only had 45 minutes this evening before dark. I was first on pulled choke fired up first kick. I Put a few laps on our back track and this bike id Smoooth. It feels like the weight of my 08 CR125 with a very smoooth power delivery. WE haven't reamed it due to the break in but she's going to be a runner I can already tell. Jumps on this bike are so easy it's like cheating. Turning cheating also. So I got off after a few minutes and handed it over to my son. I think I will need to get him a bigger helment so his smiling won't break the chin area off. He had a ball and absoultly LOVES the bike. He said it's the best handling bike he has ever sat on and he couldn't be happier. He said the TQ and very smooth pulls actully shocked him he wasn't expecting it to pull as well as it does. All this with out opening it up. Well darkness fell and he had to head home to pick up his son but before he did he said "man dad I really love the bike and I can't wait until tomorrow to take it to the MX track!"

Yeah Bob thats for sure. Hey he has a son that's about 7 months old now and he's already eyeing the new CR50 for him LOL.
