  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Raise bars and lower pegs

JCH4

Husqvarna
AA Class
Need to raise bars and lower pegs on 1992 350 WXE asap. Installed "Jimmy Buttons" Renthal bars which raised height over stock bars but need more. Anyone know who may sell bar risers for my bike and lower pegs? I am 6'3 and would prefer not to feel like "Grape Ape" after a full days riding. Thank you.

Rocky Mtn sells 1" risers that will prob work. Also my 6'4" friend bought Rox risers ( come in different heights) that use your existing clamps and are very adjustable-do a search.
I would recommend a taller seat, not lowering your footpegs. Guts foam, Enduro Engineering, or slice some foam off an old seat and put it under your current foam.

You can also check BRP. They too have clamps and such. I am in the process of adding flexx bars and a steering stabilizer to my 2000 TE410. Since I am upgrading the "pig" I thought it would be nice try the flexx bars. I will get about 1 inch or more taller on the handlebars.

There are a lot of simple insert raisers like these out there:

I know I have been looking for something for my BBR submount setup on my TE to raise the bars a bit more.
And people are still asking 50-80$ for the things, so I would call the price on these pretty decent considering their adjustibility. Sure all the BBR triples and and bar mounts and the like are nice, but costs lots more $$$$ and are not available for everything more
