  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where can I obtain a flywheel puller, a replacement shifter and sprocket bolts for my bike?
I have not located them on any listed site here or by doing an online search.

Thank you,

Paw Paw

Paw Paw, give me a bit & I'll get back to you on the puller. I'll check on some files I have. I'm pretty sure it's the samples a KLX110 Kawasaki. (I'll make sure)
Sprocket bolts are fairly universal, any bike shop could help you there. Measure the length and diameter.
These aftermarket shifters are heaps better than stock. This seller ships worldwide.

Thank1/4"s for the info on the shifter, but I don't see and company name or way to order.
The issue I find on the sprocket bolts that all I find are too short, by about 1/8-1/4". I have ordered a couple of set market to fit the TC449, but were all short. The TC bolts are at least 1/4" longer than those of a Honda Crf450R. I have looked at Motion Pro, Hub Saver, Primary Drive and several others and none are long enough. They need to be at least 1 1/8" long from the end of the taper to the tip of the threads. I have even tried to locate some OEM units, but can be found.
Info on the puller would be great.

Thank you,
Paw Paw

Sorry Paw Paw, I was on my phone when I replied & couldn't share the e-bay link for the shifter correctly.
It is here -

This shifter has much better splines than the original one.

The puller is here -

The bolts I used on my last change came out of a universal bolt kit I got from the local Honda/Ktm dealer.
Length on them was pretty good (TE449 not TC), I'm not sure if the TC hub is thicker?? Maybe as a last resort Hall's for genuine....

Thanks David for the info on the flywheel puller that we need to use for the Kymco engines. I've been trying to find what one it was for awhile now too.
