• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ready to try it again! ECEA HS this weekend/practice Video

Andy's been back on the bike a while; his collarbone is good. Running an ECEA Hare Scramble in PA this weekend and then going to hit the Nat'l Enduro here in PA weekend after that. The '12 and '13 TXC250's are both rippin'

Here's a short weekend practice trail rip at a local club. Andy's buddy Ian has the GoPro on a KTM350 and Andy is on the '13. Great place to test the WER/Drew Smith suspension revalve!

Wow he was moving. What club are you all part of?

Local club here in Harrisburg PA.

Joined many years ago, but we ran so much when racing we haven't used the place in a couple of years. Recently got reactivated and reaquainted with some of the members. Used to be mostly street bikes and I believe it's among some of the oldest club charters in the states.

And yea, he's starting to get back to speed, we'll see this weekend where he's at...stay tuned!

That's a nice piece of trail they were riding. I love single track stuff like that. We don't have the rocks you guys have and that looks fun. We have a lot of sand whoops instead.

Ride the ECEA enduro or hare scramble circuit, you'll get to ride a WIDE range of terrain, from NJ sand to rocky singletrack like this.

The WER revalve is very compliant and predictable. Andy goes about 160-165 dressed, so we needed to lighten up...

The revalve was directed at hare scramble roots/rocks with the emphasis on the more open GNCC courses. After the initial break-in we adjusted the sag and expiremented with the clickers to fine tune. It works well in the rock and roots and doesn't do anything weird at speed. The setup does instill the confidence level to wick it up...

Drew knows his Huskys, and he's a Cafe sponsor.

I belong to CJCR and I try and ride Sahara Sands in NJ every year I can and I have ridden Blue Diamond in Delaware a few times. I love Sahara Sands the most and It's only an hour south of me. I should try a rock run but I know it hurts worse when you fall in that stuff. But I guess the key words here is not to fall.

Sahara Sands is a great race, I was really sad this year when it turned into a trench-fest because of the rain. I am looking forward to a redemption race there with PREB in October.

There is a hare scramble up near Scranton this Sunday, should be a good ride if it cools down a bit, I know I will be there, sounds like PAHusky will be there too!

Thanks - My 12 TXC310 is stock - about 12 hours. It feels OK when I can carry some speed over the rocks but in the slower stuff not so much.
I had a hard time at the RORR HS.

CCP, I'm sure you weren't alone with the hard time at RORR thing, good rock run! Give Drew a call, he's aways fun to talk to. Most likely he'll be at the ECEA hare scramble this weekend. He's a Ridge Riders club member.

Land, I see CO in your info and yet you're asking about a guy at RORR...
I don't know Ed, but hey they're not strangers, just friends you haven't met yet!

What's the tie to RORR and a guy named Ed?

I used to live in Maple Grove and was at the Pagoda club. Just curious if you all knew him. He's the only bike guy I know in the area.

Really just curious. Great guy. Apparently he did really well in the GNCC a few years ago in the senior class. He's also been a RORR guy, even gave me an autographed picture of Delong last time I was on leave :)

Good luck this weekend, I'm sure Andy is ready to get back at it. I may have to give Drew a call for my TXC, would love the zip-ty treatment but the coast-to-coast shipping would kill me, haha. So need an East Coast guy. And I used to be one of them ECEA guys, but that was like 20+ years ago. Anybody remember the 7 Mountains Dirt Riders from the Sunbury-North'd area?? Plus helped out the Canyon club in Wellsboro a bunch.

Street, no I don't remember that club. Not really sure what I was doing 20 years ago...matter of fact, where the hell did the last 20 years go?!

Anyway...Ready to Rock! With big brother looking on...
