• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Snow and 27 degrees... PERFECT! Had a real fun day yesterday. Met some new ride friends, had a nice blend of bikes and all very competent riders. Area was mostly tighter single track, about 27-32 degrees out and frozen ground. Keeps you on your game and focused that's for sure. Some places had hero traction and others were slick so you were always compensating. Moving average was 13.6 mph so actually pretty good for conditions. Bikes included YZ295, brand new 2016 Beta 300, WR165 kitted husky, GG300, KTM 300 6 days and I was the only 4 stroke with the Trail Tech Shop bike 2015 KTM 350. I usually ride our 2015 KTM300 shop bike but grabbed this one for today. It worked great. Super fun day with great people and good times. Most the group went home about 3pm and buddy Blake and I went out and hammered down 24 more miles and cruised in right at dark. The Trail Tech HID was awesome in these conditions and I find myself worrying less and less about the short days. This afforded us a spectacular view as the sun set. I love dirt bikes.

Looks like just enough snow to make it fun! I've only ridden in snow a few times, but when it's too deep to see the ruts it can be exhausting.

Nice. I went up to @ 4000' today for the first time since July and there was a dusting of snow on the shady side.
