  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Rear Indicators wiring - horn location ?

rockdancer

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Just switched over to a used TE 250 2010 from a WR 125 08
So a newbie in this forum
The bikes been set up as a race bike so Im a bit nervous about that but has a new engine ( precaution ) and larger throttle body and 2011 map , decat , 450 spring

Hopefully this will be athe start of a happy relationship

Havent really ridden it properly yet - seems to go ok
Just a couple of queries thanks fellas oops and gals

Silly 4 stroke forum question number one
The wiring for the indicators at rear connects behind the rubber gromet that goes in the guard and seals up the wiring neatly .
Unless I make another hole in the guard enclosure I cant see how to connect the wires to the indicators. And seal wiring away neatly.
Make sense? I think you know what Im talking about .
Number 2
Where does the horn mount up to? The wires are on right side in front of the tank .

Thanks

I do not have a 250, but my 450 and 610 both use the same rubber plug for the tail light. It is square. There is a small cutaway in the upper corners for each turn signal sheathed cable to pass through. Pop it out and take a look. Stuff it back in with a screw driver blade if your fingers do not do it.

Both of my horns mount behind the headlight and have a bracket riveted to the horn body and mount to a hole on the triple clamp or the upper fork clamp bolt. I have moved both of mine around to new locations. Just put it somewhere out of the way. A 250 owner will have to speak up if your originally mounted elsewhere or not. My connectors are behind the headlight as well and come out of the wiring harness sheath there. The 250 horn might mount near the radiator. If you do not like that, you can extend the horn wires to where ever you please.

Welcome aboard the 4 stk...The horn should have a weird bracket attached to it and it get mounted behind the LOWER black rad shrouds using the rad bolts on the right side of bike..

Chow, Carl
