• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Rekluse core EXP 2 on 2012 TE310

DMan Sparky

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi guys, anybody have a Rekluse core EXP 2 fitted to a TE310? Just wondering about the rear brake lever clearance with the larger clutch cover.
Also what your experience with the unit has been like.
Cheers

my 310 had a rekluse fitted by the previous owner. no idea if it is the exp 2 though as i really dont know anything at all about them. having never ridden with a rekluse before it took some getting used to but it makes it a breeze to ride on the tight snotty stuff.

Thanks bensl for the feedback. The tight snotty stuff is exactly were I have issues. Means a bit more from someone who didn't have to shell out the money for one directly, and worry about looking like a dill if it turned out to be shite.
Cheers

Here's a photo of my 2012 TE310 with the Rekluse installed. There is still a gap between the clutch cover and brake lever so there is no change really.
I am liking the faster take offs which makes pulling out in front traffic a breeze for me now.

With the Rekluse installed on my Husky, there is some "chatter" when taking off and the sound disappears after a second or two.
I was not happy when I heard that, but Rekluse says its harmless in their install manual.
I can eliminate the sound by using the clutch lever when taking off.

I sent an email to their Tech Support team and here's the reply I got about the noise I was hearing. It's an extra $250 bucks for the Rekluse basket.

Zeke,

The sound you are hearing is related to the engagement of the EXP in your bike (Husky’s are a known chatter). The only known solution for this model is replacement of the basket (even though yours is not worn out), the part number is RMS-4155 from Rekluse. Below is a link to our trouble shooting guide to assist you with technical questions regarding your product install.

Thanks for the photo Zeke, it does look like plenty of room there. I have ordered the full core EXP from the local importer so hopefully won't have the chatter problem.

I have the full core EXP on my '12 TXC 250. It chatters. It chatters more when it is hot. It gets hotter when I use my clutch to start off with to alleviate the chatter. Best is to just ignore the sound and use the auto clutch as intended. The chatter just doesn't seem right though... Especially when you are spending that much for an auto clutch, just saying.

chuckc4, do you have the little rubber washes installed? They are supposed to stop chatter. Also, what oil do you run, Rekluse say they are a funny about oil.

I have a rekluse EXP 2 on my other bike, a 2010 KTM 200 and it chatters when moving off. I too have to rely on using the clutch lever to rid of it. So the issue is not just with husky.
