  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey everyone was just wondering if anyone has fitted a rekluse pro auto clutch to a 2009 te250 I'm real tempted to fit one because not many people use them down here, give me the edge hehe and dont tell no one. But there site said they wont fit:banghead: then the dealer said he would get one in for 1350:censored: in my workshop I'v got a large mill a medium lath and a small surface grider so I do all my own work and make most of my parts, I can get one in from the us for about 700 max I think. The reason for going the Rekluse is that you can tune it to come in just above idle. I got quoted 550 us for a afm auto clutch with manual over ride but there set to come in at 3000 rpm which I think is a bit high espicial when you try and blip the throttle to get a bit of engine braking on long down hils.
any ideas?
cheers

I just installed an EFM in my 04 TE 250. You can adjust it to engage just off throttle. It took me a couple of different adjustments to get it just right, but it works. Garry at EFM is very helpful in getting it set up. It does have manual override, but it's not full manual like the Rekluse Pro and the clutch feel is real soft. I only will use the lever to either get the rpm's back up if climbing a steep hill or to launch the front wheel over something, and it works good for that.
