• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Replacement Oil Fill Cap

Husqvarna
A Class
Just wanted to post a replacement oil cap/plug option for the 08 te 610. Not sure if it will fit any others.

I just received mine and it fits perfectly. it is a bit deeper (longer) but it does nto appear to interfere with anything.

I ordered it from these guys. It took forever to find a vendor that could tell me the thread. I actually wanted the "OEM" style but that one was out of stock, so I opted for the curved. I don't have any miles on it yet but it appears to be a huge improvement over the stock plastic cap

I looked at the website, but nothing listed for Husky.

Did you order the Ducati unit?

Uptite has filler caps, as listed on the master aftermarket list.

Let me know and i will add these guys. :)

Yes all Ducati 2000+ except 848 and 749R use the same thread as the Husky 08 Te610. Not sure what other Husky's are the same. Must be a popular thread in Italy...

The thread is M22 x 1.5mm.

=UPTITE Racing Makes one that is a work of art!

I got mine and the coolant Y today- amazing stuff!

It might be kinda blingish' but I bet its function is flawless too-

I don't have a pic but its on his site- home page in the products window- have to buy via phone & COD still.... my UPS guy was like are you friggen kidden me? I could tell he liked my enthusiasm. I can't wait for George's site to work!!! http://uptitehusky.com/

make extra sure that extra length clears your clutch. Looks good

I can confirm that the Slingshot Racing oil cap does clear the clutch, even with its extra length.

Zero problems, zero leakage.

It's a win in my book.

+1 it works great!

My stock cap always wept a bit and it just annoyed me. It was getting harder and harder to get the threads to start straight.

Over time I think the heat of the motor softens the plastic threads and they loose their shape. As the threads get deformed the seal gets worse and worse. I am sure I would have eventually cross threaded mine.

'zinnybody know if the Slingshot cap works with a 2006 TE610?

TIA

I am NOT 100% , but I think 2006-2008 610's are the same.

Or you could drive around and find a 2000-2008 Ducati (not a 848 or 749R these are different) and try the oil cap if it fits you are in business.:D

Hi Palmczak from the Western slope :ride:

I caved in to the Uptite drones and got in line for one of George's.

I like the uptite cap. I just wanted to be different. half the cost was OK too.
