    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hello Chaps,

Had a T-Bone accident with a car doing some city driving. Needing to get some new cosmetic plastic parts

The Dealer in SA cant source the plastic red side panels for my Terra (Part Number 8539808) and wanted to know if anyone knows of a source to order these parts from?

Appreciate any suggestions

The sticker will be extra, make sure you order the panel and sticker together to save the shipping charge.

Hello Mag00,

Appreciate the message, hurt my shoulder and a few bruises but all good now.

The biggest damage to the bike was a bent triple clamp and the stoppers on the frame that limit the steering angles broke off + a broken radiator.

What I would have done differently:

1. I should have been wearing my Leatt neck brace (was riding in a BMW Jacket and Icon helmet and gloves)
2. Cost of crash bars would have saved my radiator and plastics, worth the buy
3. Bark-Busters hand guards are going on my Christmas list

It is the absolute worst way to tow a bike...it nearly broke my heart when i saw that (i was in hospital getting checked out and did not know this was happening). Also used rusty chains to hold the bike on the tow truck..

An absolute bunch of cowboys, am going to complain to the insurance company in a official manner.
 
Sorry to hear about this. On the bright side, I have every part you need (plastics, triple clamps, and bar ends) except the radiator. I can't remember if my plastics have the stickers on them still, but I think they do and they are in new condition. Just send me a PM if you are interested.
