• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Respect your elders (and paying homage)

Today I got out for a short blast to test the WER damper I picked up for next to nothing, it works great!

My bike wanted to stop to visit the elders we came across. :)

Yeah, it's 'new'. At least it's up and sitting pretty. Oh and for all the years I lived in a place that had 4 full seasons, I love the ONE season we have here nearly year round! Hi Mom in Montana and sister in BC. :)

Them old junkers are cool to look at, ( Not cool dumping them out in the back country somewhere, though).

What is that thing ?... maybe a Suzuki TM250? Or a 400 Cyclone?

Looks like someone moved the shocks up on the swingarm to make it handle good .... he-he.

Did you get the stabilizer mounted? You still have the fender brace on in the top pic. You are or know a quick fabricator/welder. I hope you like it, I really did.

The WER is definitely an alternate great choice. I had one on my KTM250EXC mounted down low with a cut out on the headlight/numberplate. It always worked well and was 100 bucks cheaper than other brands. Enjoy good riding with your set up Brett!!!

hey those heaps may have some EBay value for restorable parts****************************************!

Yep, mounted and working great. I gave it a good fluid refresh, twice...it was needing it. I didn't weld a bracket, rather fabbed and bolted it on. I'll have to post a pic.

Hey Robert, yeah, I had a Scotts on my 450 but didn't like the bulk of the mount (heavy up high), and the rise of the bars.

BlueHusky144 made me a deal on the WER I couldn't pass up! I like it totally out of the way.

I used the top mount of the rad, and drilled a hole to bolt through the frame with a stand off. Added a Scotts sticker just cause.
