• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Been riding to the north and ~west a long time here ... Still got unfinished riding in Camansi but for whatever reason, I went south. Some of my previous reports were from here, maybe 2 yrs back ... I've been having a good time to the west :)..

My camera is eating memory cards like candy so few pics and a few videos ...

This is diving off into a small valley, crossing a small creek, and then a ~gnarly climb and ride along the top of a narrow rock ridge line ... Nothing hard but there are 2 steep rock climbs of 20 feet or more ... Only 1st here ;( .. Second attempt below and I spun-it-up, not like Nagl... Rob would say get some RPMs ...

That initial climb out from the small creek has a small but pretty good jump on the bottom side and a pretty cool small step-up when I went to the left of that tree and climbed to the top. Airborne on a track is cool, but not as cool in the sticks ...

Here's the roll-down... Contour cam does not handle direct sunlight too well and does lots better with the light coming from behind it.

This pic shows 2 trails that come out of the valley bottom and go to the top of the next ridgeline heading east ... I'll be checking this out next time and I'll have the GPS.

Here's the R.P.M attempt ... Not really a spin-up but I did make it ...

The length of that second steep section caught me off guard :( Did not want to explain how I screwed that section up after getting this far so I got a little ~stupid on the clutch ...

I'm doing these climbs in 2nd gear ... manual clutch work ... RV2 ditched his off the factory ride but I like HYDRO clutches... Just a slight, even pull on it is about all it needs most times.
