• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

sms630 - cant stop high idling after power commander

70RSMAT

Husqvarna
AA Class
Been at the dynojet shop today getting a power commander with a custom map

Its been fitted as per instructions, 02 eliminator instead of the lamba sensor, and now its idling at ~3000 rpm and we cant change it!? there is like a throttle stop adjuster, but it makes no difference. Even if we put it all back to standard it still idles high at tickover now

any ideas?
cheers

You have to adjust the idle. You will find a screw with a spring just behind the air box. It goes in to the intake of the throttle body. Remember to adjust the idle when the engine is warm.

I had the same issue, but ater the 1000km service when I had the Arrows plus ECU installed.
Idle revs of some 2900.. Looked up idle adjustement in the user guide end acted accordingly to no avail. then fiddled with the throttle cable, no luck there either. I decided to leave the issue for the dealer after the weekend, but when I fired it up the next sunday I had to use the cold start lever to keep it going as idling revs had dropped to some 1100rpm(?!?).. So my earlier adjusting work seemed to work on a time lag. After adjusting the idling back up things have been working flawlessly. Maybe contact off/on a couple of times works, or one of the cables (throttle, starting thingy) were hanging up and self-re-adjusted. I'm still working on other theories but as all is working fine now I don not lose sleep over it

Hope this helps!
