• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Parked my bike in my carport Thursday after work. And that's the last I saw of her. Woke up Friday morning and she was gone. It was an in-service day on Friday for the local schools.(No school) Our road is one of the main access to the local party spot on the hill. So I figure someone must have pushed her down our street late Thursday night or early Friday morning.
It was taken from Greenacres Rd. Kamloops BC.

Man that sucks HD
I hope it will find its way back to you and whoever stole it loses a limb
You can plaster all the bike shops in the area with stolen poster's of the bike and maybe an ad in craigslist, Thumpertalk in the regional section so the locals can keep an eye?
You've got insurance?

Sucks and don't forget to check ebay for parts sold ...

There was a article out here somewhere talking with an EX cycle thief ... I think he said a carport / garage mostly serves to hide the bike ... But it someone knows it is in there, it will not stop a real thief ... So, maybe the bike needs to locked while in there also ... The things he said that stop a theft are big hard locks and chains (through the frame) that are not easily cut ... And have the chain off the ground so you cannot use the ground for leverage when cutting it with the bolt cutters device ... And good brake locks on the rear tire ... Front brake locks are easier to deal with ...

And yep, thieves, according to this guy... almost always want to roll, then ride the bike off ... No loading one in back of a truck in most cases ...

Ugh! Sorry to hear it. Thieves are absolute scum.

Hope you get it back and that it hasn't been trashed.
