I have a KTM that I supermoto race and my wife has shown interest to playing around in the slow practice group on her 2006 TE250 (Athena 300 kit). I'm trying to get information on a wheel setup for her bike and a caliper adapter for a larger rotor. She wont be fast enough to worry about getting a different front caliper or master cylinder.
It looks like the rear wheel should be a slam dunk, it's the front that I am unsure of. The front axle is a different part number than the TE450. The SMR 450 and TC 450 share the same part number but that's different than either of the TE numbers.
I'm assuming that the smaller forks and different triple clamps have just merely changed the spacing and all that would be required is the different axle to get a SMR 450 front wheel to work. I can't tell if they are all the same diameter though. Anyone provide input or feedback? Also, where can I get a caliper adapter to space the stock caliper out for a 320mm disk?
Thanks!
