• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

(SX) RCH Racing - What changes would you make?

I get that Tickle and Hill have been around, have name recognition and have won at one point or another. But, these two really don't seem to be getting the job done at RCH. I also get that RC is the "GOAT" and should have an eye for talent. But....

There's been a lot of privateers digging deep during the indoors as of late. Some cracking the top ten and some cracking the top five.

Cantanzaro, Peick and Decotis all have looked better/stronger/more hungry than Hill and Tickle. Even Nicoletti would fare better. What's more, Hill is almost NEVER healthy!!!

Sorry to pick on RCH but, for the sake of argument, who would YOU replace the two with if in the position? And no, you can't pick Cristophe Pourcel or Ben Townley (though that's who the Kid thinks RCH should sign).

What privateers are winning in the top 5? ...

The same riders have been winning in sx for yrs ... Only changes are when a 250 guy steps up and they seem to have issues with the 450s when they do move up ...

It seems to be only a few riders can ride and compete in American sx racing ... Maybe more EU guys could ride over here but its not happening too often ...

CP is a joke the last time I saw him in the mx racing here a few yrs back ... He even went out on the track once without his chest protector ... I'd say not him also ... :O)

General comment, not directed at any specific person: I would appreciate it if people would post as if the people you are talking about are actually reading what you are typing or sitting next to you.

Wallybean and Motosportz :)

I really think you would be picking someone up and coming rather than current. Of course I don't know the you g talent that has yet to be introduced. I would pick the two that were battling in the LCQ at Daytona. If nothing else, they put on a great show

You mean Kiniry and Peick? Yup, I've thought the same thing. Those two even battled it out at Indianapolis.

I didn't say Privateers were winning, I said they were challenging. Goerke and Peick have been much more consistent than Tickle and have nowhere near the $$$ and equipment. And, RCH is pretty much paying Hill to be a spectator.

I'm not picking on Tickle or RCH, though it may sound like I am. My point is why not take some guys that can certainly go bar-to-bar, are willing to go bar-to-bar with the big names and put them on some top-notch equipment. Does big $$$$ always translate to success? Nope - look at the Bubba/JGR episode. In this case it may....as long as it isn't Townley or CP.

Oh, and by the way, I had to DVR the races so don't say how things went - PLEASE**************************************** I've been on duty and didn't get to watch.
