    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Been following the pro's and cons of the new TE630. It seems as it is getting sorted after the aftermarket cans and o2 conversions are being done---heard they are also sorting something in the clutch department as well--
Now here is the thing--I have just sold one of my Red bike --Luckily not one of my Huskies--XR250R. Going to keep my 07- 450te as well as my 09-te610--love them to bits --Looking at a 3rd bike. The 630te is what i am looking at - my reasoning is that i like a couple of bikes to spread out the kilometers i ride on each --In the last couple of months i have done 11,000km on my 610te and she just keeps on getting better. Cost besides normal servicing till date on the 610te -- 1 headlight globe --1 x indicator globe and a flasher relay- Well i am impressed with it.

What are your views --Honestly on this bike --Input will be greatly appreciated--

Got the SM, NOT the TE 630. My previous bike (CCM644) was getting on a bit but I genuinely didn´t want to give it up. So I purchased the Husky 630 with some misgivings. I´d test ridden the 610 previously and didn´t like it (no power and I didn´t care for painted black plastic). The 630 Husky was not a success at first (same as experienced by other owners: really bad low speed characteristics, not enough power etc). Was preparing myself to get rid of it a.s.a.p.

After the first 1000km check, had the PU conversion done and got back an entirely new bike. Could´t be better. The dealer `phoned me to come over and collect the bling carbon bits I´d ordered and while I was there, he changed the gearbox rod free of charge. This is the bike that Husky meant it to be. Trouble free, enough power to climb trees, really great handling and brakes. Don´t think you´ll find a better bike on the market. All the KTM and Husaberg owners around here think they can catch me but they´ve yet to prove it (mainly because their bikes are usually in bits and pieces).
I invested in the twin Arrow mainly because the 630 was such an unadulterated pleasure.:thumbsup::):thumbsup::)

Thank's Was the same with my 610TE in the beginning --Power up after 1,000km was a MUST as far as i am concerned. I have asked for prices here in SA on the Arrow pipes --Luckily i started doing Carbon Fibre a while ago and will be doing some goodies for my 610 as well.

Can anyone tell me if the motor is smoother-----
 
Have been on both. With the Arrows, the 630 is a tad louder. Vibrations are noticeably less on the stock 610. But there´s a lot more power on the 630. There´s more oil in the sump, and it´s obviously made for every day usage (5000 km service intervals) ... a well made bike by any standards. And the lockable seat, removable pre-moulded plastics, lockable fuel cap, steering lock, rear hand grips etc make it more civilized. It´s a bit heavy but the Arrows are much lighter than the standard cans. As from the showroom, the 630 was anything but smooth. It shuddered and surged at low speed, was much too lean: tended to die on idle and just didn´t have any pull to it. All here agree that this was only due to the emission laws.

What new dual/sport bike that is 50 state street legal and made to meet emissions and noise restrictions in so many places throughout the world is though..??? A PU to take care of that is about as easy as that gets...

Agree! But `tis a round about and weird setup! And there´s an emission test every two years here in Germany, so Ill maybe have to re-plug it for the day :excuseme::cool::thumbsdown:
 
I don't know about SA but here is Australia the bike runs on full power mode out of the box. So there is no point removing the O2 sensor. Our pipes come without cat's too :thumbsup:

I'm getting mine dyno'd at the first service anyway. I'll post the results when that happens.

As always ... you´re lucky to be Strine! EU law requires the full cat and sensor setup. And it´s checked every two years with a pass sticker mandatory on the immense number plate at the rear.

Much interested in the dyno results.
