• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tank Foam

I purchased and installed tank foam in my 19L tank last weekend. I also puchased 2 inline fuel filters and I am glad I did.

I put the foam in on the Saturday and rode around the block and then the next day did a 477km high speed loop around where I live.

On 6 occasions I had to stop and clean the fuel filters out. They were only very small cheap filters so now I have gone for some bigger inline filters of a much better quality.

I was not getting fibres but just a fine particle build up which eventually blocked the filters.

Now with the negatives over I can move onto the Positives!!! :applause:

Its an awesome mod and mega cheap!!

I always ride with my big tank on and have always fought tooth and nail through tight snot to keep up with smaller bikes.

Its because the fuel sloshes to the opposite side that you trying to turn into.

It tries to stand the bike back up again with the fuel all rushing to the top side.

The foam completely eliminates this and stablizes the bike through the tightest of turns. Its pretty amazing actually considering I didnt think it would really do anything.

I was way more stable on the front and off the back through open sandy, 3rd and 4th gear whooped out single trail full of kickers that pop you up 3 or 4 feet high, right next to a barbed wire fence. In fact it felt like I had the standard tank on or even better because the fuel sits lower in the IMS tank.

If you like riding fast through tight stuff or have a SM with a big tank and like going fast around corners then I would not hesitate to fill your tank with this stuff.

WICKED!!!

I put it in my ims 4.3 gal tank and was amazed at how it helps with fuel slosh. Awesome. I can hardly tell the difference between a full tank and an empty one.
