  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A couple of questions: '10 TC250

Anyone run a wider than stock rear tire with good results? Which conditions, and how big?

Anyone find out if the 310 piston could be used (along with a cylinder bore) for a few extra ccs?

I was going to run the 110/90x19 on my '10 TC 250 but haven't gotten around to installing it. I got the idea from looking at Jason Thomas' and Morgan Moss' GNCC race bikes (TXC 250's)...both were running the 110/90 at the opening round here in Florida(I'm sure their bikes are putting out a few more h/p than stock). I am using the 110/90 already on my '07 Husky WR 125 but it's strictly a woods/trail bike . I had to shim my silencer out alittle for clearance(about 1/4 inch). I did look at their TXC 'S pretty closely and saw very little tire marks left on the silencer.

Have a good day,

Thanks. I keep thinking of trying out the Motoz, but get too lazy to order one, and just end up at the local motorcycle shop. What terrain is the tractionator designed for?

I don't know LOL but it works in grass, hard packed red clay, soft dirt with leaves, mud, sand, and rocks mixed in clay soils. I need to order a set for my 144 and my GasGas 300 so I raise my lazy hand too.
