• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE 610 Front tire tube

MT VIKING

Husqvarna
C Class
Has anyone had problems with front tire going flat. I have had to replace my front tube twice with less than 300 miles between replacements seem to be tearing around the stem apparently the tube must be moving not sure what to do about it. Rode it the first time since breaking my collar bone yesterday. running 50 down the hi way suddenly tire instantly went flat was able to control it but wasn't a good feeling. need to get this issue figured out.

What air pressure are you at?

I ran my 610 without rim locks for a while, but you have to keep the air pressure up, say around like 18 psi. If you go too low, it'll spin and rip the stem.

Some more details about the failure mode would probably be helpful. There is no reason you should have frequent flats, I think I have had 1 flat in 5,000 miles of hard off-roading.

Don't use the nut on the outside of the rim on the valvestem. This way if you do spin, it won't rip the tube.

I agree --also another tip I learnt after 11 years of racing --take a small round file and just make the hole where the valve fits through the rim a little bigger --also helps when you have to replace the tube as the hole in the rim oxidizes and it gets sticky-- and jammed --
