As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I have a rekluse (core exp 2.0) on my husky 310 2012 but it won't work. When the engine is cold there is no problem but after 10 min the problems starts, the clutch starts to slipping at low rpm's.
If you have much more than a 1/8 inch free play gain in your clutch lever when engine is hot you need to reset install gap one full turn plus 2 tick marks. i have had to reset install gap twice on MYTE250 it makes a big difference on clutch slipping. i also switched to shell rotella 15w40 which rekluse recommends and seems to help a little on clutch noise and is a lot cheaper than the AGIP 10W60 i was useing before. So i just change it twice as often.I have a rekluse (core exp 2.0) on my husky 310 2012 but it won't work. When the engine is cold there is no problem but after 10 min the problems starts, the clutch starts to slipping at low rpm's.
I have a zipty bike with rekluse, still makes the noise a little. Only if taking off in too high a gear. Have not tried other oil yet, running semi syn 10-40I have had Rekluse (with LHRB) on my last 5 bikes. This is the first time I've had the new EXP and the first time i've had any "issues". Rekluse only builds the EXP for the x-lite because it needs ALL the clutch plates - especially in 310 version. My Rekluse performs flawlessly EXCEPT for a chatter/squeal when the clutch has to work hard (think uphill slow 1st gear starts). I've installed the little rubber dampers that Rekluse provides to combat this - and run various oils to deal with it - and have minimized it but ... Zip-Ty has a clutch mod which is supposed to stop the problem for less than $100. It's not bad ecough for me to send them my clutch hub yet - but maybe this summer.
i have a 2011 te310 and been looking at getting a rekluse. does anyone have one and what do you think of it.
It just won't work!!!Already reset the install gap 10 times.when the bike is in first or second gear and I start riding the clutch makes a strange noise just for 2 seconds once's the bike is riding there is no problem.
Only when the bike needs to pull it in to motion or starting at a hill climb the first seconds there is always that noise. It is just like the clutch is between working and not working.I 'm getting desperate. And I already call tech help at rekluse
The first hour I didn't see the worth because I was still using the clutch. After that, I can't imagine not having oneReveille the enabler through his bad influence coerced me to order a Rekluse for my TE310. I will post further as my addiction deepens.
