  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE449/511 Wheel Fitment

I'm going to be searching for an extra set of factory wheels for my '13 TE449. Do all of the 2011-2014 Husqvarnas run the same Excel wheels, axles, etc? Did a quick search and did not see any direct info on it.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the info. Just to verify, do all of the 125cc, 250cc, 300cc, and 310cc bikes run the same wheels/axles as the 449/511's from 2011-2014 as well?

The 125, 250, 300 have a different hub that is a different width so you would have chain alignment issues with the 2 stroke wheels.

All 449/511 wheels have the rear rotor spaced out more (5mm) over the older 450/510 wheels. not a big deal. Also the 2 stroke wheels are narrower than the 450/510 wheels on the sprocket side by about the same about 5mm or so. If you know what you are doing they can all interchange. All the fronts are a direct swap just use the spacers and axle that came with your bike. There are a few different front axle offsets between years. I have bikes from all the families and I swap wheels all the time. One thing to remember is the rear on a two stroke spins the opposite way as a 4 stroke if you swap a lot.

Hey guys, new to forums. Trying to find out if a rear 5.5x17 will fit upto my smr511, I'm aware it's a big wheel with big rubber. Can't seem to get a yes or no out of anyone. Any help would be awesome.

I run a 5" rexfelgen with 150 street rubber. A 160 slick will fit because the wall profile is slightly different. I reckon the 5.5" would fit but would be kind of pointless because that seems too wide a rim for 150/160 rubber. You won't get anything bigger than 150 street/ 160 slick on there owing to chain clearance.
