    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

TE449 Fuel Pump and FI issues

Hey guys, new to the site so sorry if I have posted in the wrong section.
I have a 2011 TE449 and have issues with it starting. The electric start turns it over, revs once and dies.
I have checked all fuses, cleaned all relays, bypassed oil temp sensor and air temp sensor (in case were faulty), bypassed killswitch (in case was faulty).
I cant hear the fuel pump priming when turning over engine so i have a suspcion its either faulty or on its way out.
The bike is in the shop atm and before they charge me tons of money for a replacement pump as husky only sells the whole piece not just the pump itself I was hoping someone might know if it is the same pump out of the 2010 TE450, 30mm 43PSI? If so ive heard multiple other bikes having the same pump, eg aprillia RXV and SXV and possibly the WRF450.
Does anyone have any other ideas or more information to what direct replacements can be used off other FI bikes?

I know what you are thinking because I went through exactly the same thing with my TE511.
However, I have since learned how to reset the TPS and correct the Air Bypass Screw and it starts OK now.
When dead cold it starts 2nd go every time, but when warm starts incredibly easy 1st go.
I am satisfied now.
