  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE449 miles per tank?

AllmanFan

Husqvarna
B Class
About how many miles per tank can I expect to see on my stock 14 Te449? And around how many once I uncork it and get the map 3 work done? Thanks!

In race map 2 mode with acro can I was getting just over 60 UK miles.

In low power mode I get approx 80-85, or 10 miles per litre.

I fitted a 4.5 litre nomad tank to mine for a recent trail riding trip, and I was getting 130 UK miles comfortably.

All of the above were mixed trail riding.

FMF slip on and JD tuner gets me just over 30 mpg, U.S. I recall mid to upper 30 mpg stock, but that's been a while.

Stock I used to get 36mpg average and have done about 70 on a tank a couple of times during mixed asphalt, fire road, and single track. Haven't measured since adding an Akro slip on, but am curious to see.

Completely depends on your riding style and modifications. Since yours is stock, it just depends on your riding style. You could get as high as 41mpg and as low as 30. Add map 3 and that will change to 20-30mpg. I'm modded/ride fast so I get 15-20mpg.

Mine is about 80-90 km until the light is on (8.5lt Euro spec tank)
Our regular local rides are all mostly tight single track & steep hills, a little open country.
Almost never do road riding.
